Welcome to Station 9's Website
Friendship Fire Department is located on Friendship Rd just outside of Tallassee, Alabama in the community of Friendship. Station 9 has been serving the surrounding community and assisting other departments, when needed, since 1980. There are currently 25 members on the department and 9 fire units in service. Friendship has an ISO rating of five (5).
Our newest apparatus Engine 901. Engine 901 is a 2006 E-One Engine/Pumper Truck. Engine 901 serves as our Rescue Unit and 2nd Pumper. Engine 901 responds to all Motor Vehicle Accidents, Emergency Medical Calls, Heavy Rescue Calls and is our 2nd Engine in on Structure Fires.
Mission Statement
Friendship Fire Department is dedicated to the service of our community. We provide fire protection, perform extrication, and ensure the proper handling of hazardous materials. Loss by fire has decreased over 50% since we began which can be attributed to skilled fire fighters and education of our citizens.
